Early voters, event attendees given parking directions

Due to the high traffic being drawn by concurrent events at the Hill Country Youth Event Center, 3785 TX27 in Kerrville, special parking directions have been issued by the center’s management.

On the weekend of Oct. 25-27, the county-owned facility will be hosting not only the Texas Fleece and Fiber Festival and the Master Gardeners, but also early voters casting ballots in the U.S. General Election.

As a consequence, the traffic added in by voters coming to the site, special parking has been designated for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25-26.

According to HCYEC/Oak View Group Director of Events Edward Gonzales II, those planning to visit the event center those two days are asked to observe the following:

Gate 1 fronting TX27 will be closed. Gate 2, also fronting TX27 further east, will provide entry to motorists, and Gate 3 behind the center will serve as the exit for all onto Riverside Drive.
