KERR COUNTY BURN BAN STATUS
*UPDATED AGAIN - 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Feb 14, 2026)
The burn ban is now 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗗 countywide in all areas unaffected by the July 4 flood.
Again, the ban has been lifted for Kerr County Precincts 1, 2, 3 and 4 until further notice.
That said, the ban on open-flame, open-air burning 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘 for all areas considered AFFECTED by the July 4 flooding incident.
Areas identified as "affected" by the flooding are those properties located specifically between the high water marks on both banks of the Guadalupe River, including the river, the riverbed, etc.
Burning is prohibited until individual zones are released by local officials.

Legal challenges to Congressional maps delayed this year's mailing of voter registration cards, but Kerr County voters need not worry! They can take their ID with them to one of two polling locations and cast their ballots in the March 3, 2026 Primary Election during the early, in-person voting period which started today, Feb. 17.
CodeRED test set for Saturday, Feb. 14, across Kerr County
A test of the CodeRED emergency notification system used in Kerr County is planned at noon this Saturday, Feb. 14.

Kerr Veterans Service Office announces closure Feb. 16-20
The Kerr County Veterans Service Office (VSO) will be temporarily closed next week, but the veteran community still has ways to get assistance. Normal business operations will resume on Feb. 23.
