Kerr County Environmental Health Offices to Close Temporariliy for Relocation

Kerr County Environmental Health has announced that it will close temporarily from Aug. 14-18 as its offices are relocated from the courthouse annex basement to a new location – Suite 100 in the county-owned building at 550 Earl Garret Street in Kerrville.

“We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as we shut our doors to the public in order to make this move in an efficient, organized and timely manner,” said Ashli Badders, director of the Kerr County Environmental Health On-Site Sewage Facilities department.

Badders said she expects to reopen to normal business hours on Monday, Aug. 21.

Her department is responsible for ensuring that all on-site sewage facilities (OSSF) systems are installed in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The office also: enforces all state laws in the illegal installation of OSSF systems, ensures all OSSF complaints are investigated as mandated by state law and brought into compliance in accordance with state law and reviews new subdivision plats and existing plats for compliance with state laws and Kerr County’s local OSSF subdivision rules and regulations.
