Most Kerr County, Texas, offices will be closed for a one-day holiday on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025.

While open on New Year’s Eve on Tuesday, Dec. 31, the closing to usher in the New Year on Jan. 1 will impact most offices located in the Kerr County Courthouse, 700 Main Street in Kerrville, the West Kerr County Courthouse Annex, 510 College Street in Ingram, the county’s 550 Earl Garrett Street campus in Kerrville and others.

Emergency services, including law enforcement, fire department and EMS, will continue without interruption.

Nearly a dozen recently elected or re-elected officials whose terms start in 2025 are on the list to be sworn in during a 10 a.m. Jan. 1 ceremony in District Courtroom No. 2 (on the second floor of the Kerr County Courthouse.)

Business hours for all departments will resume as normally scheduled on Thursday, Jan. 2.

The holiday schedule which indicates when county offices will be closed is available for viewing on the Public Notices page of this website.
