West Kerr motorists can expect delays Wednesday

Motorists in West Kerr County will experience traffic delays on Wednesday, April 24, due to Texas Department of Transportation work to remove a pedestrian bridge over TX39 between Ingram and Hunt.

According to TxDOT, traffic from both directions will be worked through the work zone using a reduced one-lane road starting at 9 a.m.

Traffic flow through that area will continue to be controlled through the duration of tomorrow's project, except for one period of full highway closure that will last about 20 minutes, TxDOT stated.

The road is expected to be fully opened by 4 p.m.

The footbridge is being removed because TxDOT engineers have deemed it structurally inadequate.
